Job Description

We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for multiple Senior Application Support Technicians and Team Leaders to join a brand-new team at a market-leading digital sports content provider based in West Yorkshire.

Playing an integral part of the Application Support team, you will be required to ensure that the company’s platform is available at all times and will be responsible for first line IT support to inbound customer incidents in a 24/7 environment.

Your duties will include incident logging, providing service availability, continuous service improvements, troubleshooting first line IT issues and escalating when required. You must be able to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner, following service level agreements and working to key performance indicators.  You will also carry out technical monitoring of the company’s market leading OTT platform, including covering global, high profile live events.

Alongside your day-to-day duties, you will  also act as escalation point in the team and assist with mentoring and supporting the less experienced team members.

Team Leaders will also be responsible for assisting the Head of the department in building a global streaming support function and will include line managing a team of Application Support Technicians. You will create processes and procedures to optimize the support function and will carry out appraisals and performance reviews with team members. To join as a Team Leader, you must have experience in leading a technical support team.

To be considered, it is key that you can demonstrate experience in providing first line application support for external web/mobile or Cloud based applications. Any exposure to video streaming, OTT or cloud platforms, ideally AWS would be highly advantageous.

Good working knowledge of web technologies, monitoring tools and service management ticketing tools is essential.

Any experience in a fast-past live broadcast environment would be highly advantageous and you must be able to work well under pressure.

A flexible work approach is also essential as you will be required to work on a shift rota including nights and weekends.

This is an incredible opportunity to join an international sports broadcasting company at a very exciting time of growth!
