We are currently working with a multinational broadcast company who is looking to recruit a Broadcast Systems Support Engineer to join their engineering team on a permanent basis.
As Broadcast Systems Support Engineer you will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line engineering and maintenance support across all areas of the facility including live studios, transmission, post production and file based workflows. Day to day duties will focus on maintaining a wide range of specialist broadcast and IT equipment with responsibilities including providing routine checks, fault finding and confidently prioritising the urgency of each fault or problem. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to get involved in project work covering the installation and commissioning of the latest broadcast technologies.
To be considered for this role applicants must be able to demonstrate strong skills in supporting a wide range of broadcast equipment and technologies ideally including some or all of the following; Avid iNews, Media Central and PAM, broadcast graphics, transcoding, tape libraries, storage systems, Multiveiwers, video mixers, cameras and talkback systems. Strong fault finding and root cause analysis skills are essential as is the drive to take responsibility for technical issues and see them through to satisfactory conclusion.
Additionally good IT skills covering Windows and Linux systems admin, virtualisation and ideally some exposure to networking would be highly beneficial.
Please note this is a shift based role that does include early's, late's and nights.
