A leading sports broadcasting company is currently looking to recruit a Senior Broadcast Communications Technician to join their its site team. The role will be working as part of a close-knit team attending events around the world to install, commission, test and operate timing data and communication systems. The role will see you responsible for verifying the correct function of all timing data equipment and testing and terminating co-axial cable and multi-core twisted pair data cable used for loop and decoder communications.
To be considered for this role it is imperative that applicants have proven experience of working within a team and building good working relationships with colleagues. Technical experience of fault-finding electrical/electronic wiring and CAN-based systems is important as is previous experience of working within a hands-on role that has involved the installation, rigging and commissioning of equipment. In addition, you will be able to read, interpret and work to wiring diagrams and technical drawings and be knowledgeable in basic IT skills with demonstrable experience of IP addressing and TCP/IP communications.
This position would suit someone working in an electronics or network IT environment or similar with experience of outside broadcasting being highly advantageous. Please note our client will also consider applicants from a Forces background who have worked across communication systems previously.
This role involves extensive travel, therefore applicants must have a flexible working approach and be comfortable staying away from home for extended periods. Only candidates with a valid EU passport and EU driving licence can be considered.
